SRC Week 2026: A Power-Packed Celebration of Impact and Awareness

The Student Representative Council (SRC) of Community Health Nurses’ Training College, Tamale, proudly presents SRC Week Celebration 2026 — a dynamic and impactful week designed to inspire, educate, and empower.

Theme of the Week

“Youth Empowerment in the Fight Against Substance Abuse: The Role of the Student Nurse”

This year’s theme speaks directly to one of the most pressing challenges facing our communities today, substance abuse. As future healthcare professionals, student nurses are uniquely positioned to lead awareness, provide support, and influence positive behavioral change.

Event Details

📅 Date: Friday, 17th April – Saturday, 25th April 2026

📍 Venue: Both campuses (Wamale & Sakasaka)

What to Expect

SRC Week 2026 promises to be more than just a celebration, it’s a movement. Participants can look forward to:

  • Health education campaigns focused on drug abuse prevention
  • Interactive seminars and workshops led by professionals in the health sector
  • Community outreach programs to extend awareness beyond campus
  • Student engagement activities promoting unity, leadership, and creativity
  • Fun and recreational events to balance learning with relaxation

Why This Matters

Substance abuse continues to affect individuals, families, and communities across the country. By empowering student nurses with the right knowledge and tools, we are investing in a healthier future. This initiative reinforces the critical role nurses play not only in treatment but also in prevention and advocacy.
